Amy Alson, M.D., CEDS, is board-certified in Psychiatry and Internal Medicine. Her dual training and experience informs her holistic approach to healthcare. For a decade before establishing a private practice, Dr. Alson practiced and taught both psychiatry and primary-care medicine at the University of Virginia.

Community and Professional Associations:

Dr. Alson supports the work of the Charlottesville Free Clinic and the Women's Initiative. She is active in the Academy for Eating Disorders and is certified by the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals as an eating disorders specialist. She has presented locally and nationally on issues including the mental and physical health of university students, and the treatment of eating disorders.
